Jessica Böhme made an exciting announcement yesterday.
The Institute for Practical ekoPhilosophy (IPeP) is moving into its next phase. I am currently in the process of forming it into a legal entity…
As a first step, I am trying to explain as clearly and comprehensibly as possible what IPeP is about.
And that’s where today’s letter comes in.
If you find the time and feel called to do so: I’d love your feedback on the text.
I love what you are doing, Jessica, and I will be a cheerleader for your initiative. All of your text lands very well. One of your core ideas has resonated with me for decades and it is exciting to see it come to life.
Enhancing ekoPhilosophical health as a complement to psychological and physiological well-being.
We aim to rewild philosophy - that means that we want to include voices in the philosophical discourse that have so far been largely overlooked.
On my bookself is Plato, Not Prozac!: Applying Eternal Wisdom to Everyday Problems by Lou Marinoff, published in 1999.
What we believe matters… a lot. My personal journey has been from benign Christian cult member to secular humanist to Metamodern Wannabe. This was a spiritual journey but also a deeply philosophical one.
I will also introduce institutions and people collaborating with IPeP.
My sense is that IPeP will be an island of coherence that I will want to pay some attention to as time permits.
Thank you so much for the encouragement 🙏
