On February 24, 2022 Russua invaded Ukraine. My attention was captured and I wrote About the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, posted March 8, 2022. Unfortunately, I was very wrong about one thing that I wrote at that time.
But throwing caution to the wind, I think that Putin’s invasion of Ukraine spells the end of Trump’s political career.
I want to repeat what I wrote as a comment on an article by Hanzi Freinacht.
There is great irony in what Hanzi Freinacht advocates. At this moment in time our priority is to save western civilization by defeating Putin in Ukraine no matter how long it takes. But the moment the war is won we must again realize that western civilization is not worth saving. It is extremely fragile and unsustainable. We must build a radically better civilization with a totally different operating system.
And my quote of Robb Smith is worth repeating.
If you tell me that throughout the 21st century we will continue to have a set of nations armed with nuclear weapons, I will tell you there’s a 99% chance that we end up in a nuclear conflict eventually.
I do not have the energy to do a deep dive into the war now. The current situation was not forseen by anyone that I know of. None of us could foresee the future back then and we must remember that now.
It seems to me, and others, that the outlines of a new world order are taking shape. The guiding principle seems to be might makes right. The United States led by Trump, Musk and others is on the verge of becoming a bad actor on the world stage. The US is turning its back on Ukraine but that is not the half of it. It is now not difficult for me to imagine both Canada and Mexico becoming enemies of a US led by a dictator.
It is now not difficult for me to imagine current trends leading to WWIII using nukes.
While I smell the stink of war, by friend Simon Divecha sniffs the Scents of love.
But can I actually drop into love, just completely love Elon in all that he is? Breathe in the suffering that this is, the actual reality of what all of this is creating?
I think so.
I am personally more motivated by a morality of do no harm than do good. I am personally more motivated by a desire to do not hate than to love. I do not hate Trump or Musk but, for me, this is not the time to speak of love. However, I recognize the need for those who do not give up on love. But in my opinion, there needs to be a counter-coup asap. Trump and Musk and many high level supporters need to be stopped with the only tool that will work against bullies, superior brute force. The Ukrainians have known this reality for three years.
When it comes to Elon Musk, Charlie Angus has the right idea.
REVOKE MUSK'S CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP
A Petition from Ordinary Canadians
But the petition requires a Canadian postal code and mine is Mexican.
That is all I have on this at the moment.
"I do not hate Trump or Musk but, for me, this is not the time to speak of love." Indeed, a big part of me is with you! Every day there's at least one headline that makes me doubt I can do this, this being love through to " know something or someone fully, even in all of its ugliness”...
Ha, plenty of opportunities for practice love and how to relate to it 🙈
